In Superagui & Guaraqueçaba you will find plenty of fish, spraws and oyster. From March to May it is forbidden to catch spraws, as it is their reproduction months. Restaurants are simple, especially in Superagui and food comes in abundance. If you are not so hungry, order a half portion.
In some Superagui restaurants you will find 'prato feito'. This is a home cooking style dish, serving mostly black beans, rice, French fries and fish. It is the most inexpensive way to eat!
Do not expect fancy restaurants in Superagui & Guaraqueçaba. The region is quite simple and its inhabitants are mostly fishers who have preserved their simple manners and cuisine.

If you are in Superagui in the low season (from April to November), be aware of ordering your dish at least one hour before. As in the low season there are not many tourists around, you might have problems finding a place to eat if you do not plan your meal in advance. If you do not like fish, be sure to order chicken or beef in advance.
